I did not get to attend his last lecture, though as it turns out, he didn't really get to give it anyway. I also appreciate the environment in which it took place. Although it's sad that it had to be held behind closed doors, it does show that many students are passionate about this issue, though some may show it in more appropriate ways than others. Thank you for giving us, the students, the opportunity to hear what he had to say before judging or forming our own opinions. I think if more people had come, or had stayed during the talk, they would be surprised to hear about some of Mr. Simcox' views. I know I was. Also, they would have gotten the opportunity to ask him questions. I was actually looking forward to a civil debate at the end, but unfortunately there was no one to debate him! Whether you're for or against him or his cause, I think it is important to remember that he has as much as a right to speak as other people have to protest.
